The series has been well-received, with Jenna Ortega's portrayal of Wednesday Addams being particularly praised.

The series stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Fred Armisen appearing in supporting roles. Additionally, Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams in the film "The Addams Family" and its sequel, was cast as a series regular, replacing Birch in a similar role.

Filming for the series took place in Romania between September 2021 and March 2022. The show is created by Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Tim Burton.
